Practical Function

In this case good design comes from good functionallity, if the design fits the function well the aesthics will just appear. To an extent, you could could call this the opposite of psycological function as if a product functons well and achieves the desired task you may forgive the design if its not the most elegant product. In this case I believe this product is both very functional, as it provides extra seating as well as a storage space and and aesthetically pleasing in the material and colour choice. One aspect of this design that I really like is the fact that there aren't any harsh edges, all of them are rounded. Another aspect of this design is the added complexity of the design in the wooden core. One aspect that may cause problems in this design however is if the wooden chairs are left out they may swell due to moisture making them difficult to get back into the storage space. As a hole I believe this is an interesting product that is a prime example of Practical Function.
