Ray Ban glasses

These glasses are an example of a product produced from thermoplastic. The reason that Thermoplastic was used over thermosetting plastic in this case was that there is no heat element in glasses. Had there been and heat element themosetting plastic would have had to be used. The use of this specific material is beneficial in this case as it is strong and reasonably impact resistant. As well as functional uses this material also provides aethetics qualities that make this product a design classic.
